USATF National Junior Olympic Championships
Ten City Track Athletes participated at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Mt. San Antonio JC in Walnut, CA from July 24-28. In order to participate, the athlete had to finish in the Top 3 in their event at the Region 14 meet at Fresno. Eligibilty to participate in the Region 14 meet was determined at the PAUSATF Qualifier in Livermore where the Top 8 qualified for the Regionals.
The following City Track Athletes competed at the USATF Nationals (Medallists in BOLD):
Bantam: Franny Kiles, HJ, 3'11.25", 8th place (after 5th Place Tiebreaker) Medallist

Youth: Sharmila Kittrell, Pentathlon, DNF Cheri Chan, Javelin, 97' 09", 5th Place Medallist Melanie Speech, Javelin, 87' 11", 12th Place
Intermediate: Sanura Eley-O'Reilly, 400M, 57.49. 8th Place, Medallist
Young Women: Eve King, Heptathlon, 4,444 pts., 7th Place, Medallist Eve King, HJ, 5' 3", 8th Place, Medallist
